Adult & Child

Child assisted by parent in the water ... exploration of water skills, lots of singing & use of buoyancy & toys.  Where possible we'll group under 1 years, 1+ and2+ together.

Ducklings 2

Pre-School classes from our Adult & Child lessons, there is still lots of fun to be had, but classes become more structured, teaching the necessary skills ready to become independent swimmers. 

Ducklings 3

For children aged 4-5 years ready to be introduced to basic breastroke technique

Tadpole 1

Aiming to 1) swim 5m breastroke action with aids 2) perform kicking legs on front & back with aids 3) Jump in from the side (assisted if needed)

Tadpole 2

Aiming to 1) swim 5m breastroke with reduced aids 2) Perform kicking legs on front & back w/reduced aids 3) Star Float  on front & back with reduced aids

Tadpole 3

Aiming to 1) swim 5m breastroke with minimal aids & Perform kicking legs on front & back with minimal aids 3) Push & Glide on front & back with minimal aids

Goldfish 1

Aiming to 1) Swim 5m breastroke unaided 2) Perform Front & Back Star Float Unaided

Goldfish 2

Aiming to 1) Swim 10m breastroke unaided 2) Jump into the water from poolside unaided 3) Perform a 'log roll' on the surface of the water

Goldfish 3

Aiming to 1) Swim 15 m breastroke unaided 2) Front & Back push off & glide 3) Mushroom float

Puffins 1

Aiming to 1) Swim 20 meters breastroke 2) Jump into the water and touch the bottom 3) Swim under water 3 strokes

Puffins 2

Aiming to 1) Swim 30 meters breastroke 2) Sitting dive 3) Swim under water and pick up a hoop

Puffins 3

Aiming to 1) Swim 40 meters breastroke 2) Kneeling dive 3) Push and glide to the bottom of the pool and spring off the bottom

Swordfish 1

Aiming to 1) Swim 50 meters breastroke (with face in the water and correct breathing) 2) Standing dive 3) 25 meters single arm back crawl

Swordfish 2

Aiming to 1) Swim 100 meters breastroke 2) 25 meters back crawl 3) Standing deep dive

Swordfish 3

Aiming to 1) Swim 150 meters breastroke 2) Swim 50 meters back crawl 3) Standing deep dive

Porpoise 1

Personal Survival

We offer 3 levels of Personal Survival skills after pupils have completed Porpoise 3, Dolphin 1 & Dolphin 2

Aiming to swim 1) Swim 600 meters breastroke 2) Swim 50 meters front crawl using bilateral breathing 3) Swim 25m using dolphin leg action

Dolphin 2

Aiming to 1) Swim 700 meters breastroke 2) Swim 25 meters butterfly

Dolphin 3

Aiming to 1) Swim 800 meters breastroke 2) Swim 25 meters medley (Butterfly, back crawl, breastroke, frontcrawl)

Whale 1

Aiming to 1) Swim 100 meters breastroke in less than 3 mins  2) Swim 100 meters back crawl in less than 3 mins 3) Swim 100 meters front crawl in less than 2 mins 40 seconds

Whale 2

Aiming to 1) Swim 200 meters breastroke in less than 6 mins 2) Swim 200 meters back crawl in less than 6 mins 3) Swim 200 meters front crawl in less than 5 mins 30 seconds

Whale 3

Aiming to 1) Swim 400m breastroke in less than 10 mins 30 seconds 2) Swim 400m backcrawl in less than 10 mins 3) Swim 400m frontcrawl in less than 10 mins

Shark 2

Club Swim 

Offered to pupils at the top end of the syllabus aiming to perform drills for stroke improvement, technique, speed & endurance.
